I have heard several mentions of Valentine's. Yet another unfamiliar celebration, though if it is as festive as Christmas, then it may be quite enjoyable. I have heard several mentions of something called chocolate as well.

Personally, however, I wish to celebrate the coming of the new year, which is traditionally around this time for Japan, or at least for my world. I offer my prayers to Bishamonten to watch over this foreign world and protect it.

Ah... they don't have Valentine's where I come from either. But from what I understand, chocolate is a type of candy or a treat. And on Valentine's, you give it to those you care about.

The festival I have experienced here was quite pleasant. Snow covered the ground. Presents abound, as well as cheer.

For new year's, I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have concerning it.

I am unsure, yet if it follows traditions of festivals, then yes.

I have never heard of chocolate before. New Years is celebrated by ringing bells and eating mochi to welcome in the new year. Kadomatsu are also placed outside doors to welcome the kami to stay at your house. The house must also be clean and organized for a fresh start to the new year.

Kadomatsu are decorations made from bamboo and other decorations to welcome the kami, spirits and essences of the world, to dwell for the festivities.

Mochi is a sweet rice treat. Perhaps you will join me on an occasion to sample treats and foods from my home.
