Uesugi Kenshin

I do wonder what sort of festival this "Halloween" is. Such an odd name. The decorations are quite odd, as well. These webs about could be a hindrance to movement, though without the presence of the Kraken, such movement will probably not be necessary for at least a few days. Bishamonten watch over the festival so it will go without trouble.

Also, I have noticed many new arrivals. Pity there is yet to be a sign of Shingen-dono or Kasuga.

[ here, have the war god, sitting in his living room with a familiar red bowl of sake. On the table sits Shingen fluff. It's moved off the fireplace mantle after Moses the cat got curious and attempted to steal the fluff. ]

The population seems to have doubled over night, yet the world in which we now live seems never to be overcrowded. Such an interesting ebb and flow of residents and the bubble. A curious place it is, beyond comprehension and description, a place which undoubtedly holds many secrets.

[ he pauses for a sip of sake out of his dinnerplate-sized sake cup ]

I do wonder if within the influx arrived Kasuga, Keiji, or perhaps the Tiger of Kai. [ a small smirk accompanies the mention of his rival, the lord of Kai ] To the new arrivals, I am Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo.

By Bishamonten's grace, I do hope all have survived the last battle. The city seems rather devoid of locals as of late. Even the small dinosaur which had once taken up residence in the kitchen is gone, as well. Battles can be harsh though surviving means recovery and restoration.

And with loss once again come new arrivals. I do wonder if Shingen-dono or Kasuga are among them.

[ here, have a rather calm Kenshin, this time with tea (yes, he drinks something other than sake). ]

Over the last month since my arrival, I find myself increasingly aware of how much Kasuga does for me on a regular basis. With the influx of new residents, I have yet to see a soul from Echigo. Not Kasuga or Kanetsugu, or even Keiji. Even Shingen-dono would be a welcomed sight.

However, as I cannot ascertain how much time shall pass before my beautiful blade returns to me, I now find myself in need of an assistant, perhaps a retainer even. I require one who is organized and well-kept, one who understands how to follow his heart but remains honorable, one who is peaceful but can fight on a moment's notice. Cooking skills would be most appreciated. Gender matters not to me, nor does one's past.

As money has no worth in Vatheon, I cannot offer koku in return for service but instead a place to live and companionship.
