echigo_wargod[ concerned war god is concerned. have it a poetic concern (since writing poetry at the start of a new year is tradition (and historically, Kenshin loved poetry). Thankfully Japanese poetry doesn't rhyme.) ]
The first sunrise of the new year,
A beautiful and joyous occasion.
Though as beautiful as the sunrise may be,
Concern has clouded the sunrise.
Something amiss, dark clouds on the horizon,
Changing what should be into the opposite,
A bright sunrise to a cloudy day.
[ he pauses for a brief moment. ]
Certainly the world grows mad. Or perhaps this is a "gift" from the mysteries of Vatheon. I hope this is not a foreshadow of the year to come, giving us poor luck at the start of a fresh year. May Bishamonten protect us all.
[ He hasn't been affected by a rumor. Yet. :D ]
